Setting tongues wagging after a hot-run of much-hyped gigs alongside the likes of DUDS (Castle Face) and Drahla (Captured Tracks), Leeds lads L. D. Moses’ bask in the gloomy glow of post-punk’s most alluring father figures and at the same time following in the footsteps of many contemporary hometown heroes.
Their tightly coiled jangles and drizzling guitar are hence all achingly familiar, the pained vocal a miserable yet deeply satisfying yelp as it goes. These boys are lay in the gutter looking up at the stars though. Catch them early before they go interstellar.
