KYŌGEN
KYŌGEN is Kyoko Swan of Manchester band PINS and MONK frontman Dan Broomhall. Leading Swan’s ethereal dream-pop melodies off into temptation, he corrupts blurred-out guitar loops with an undertow of bass tones and stuttering drum-machine snares, Swan’s vocal melodies riding through both emotive peaks and Broomhall’s melancholy micro-detail tick and bassy wub.
Why Do I Love You? is a split EP between KYŌGEN and MONk and official release for International Cassette Store Day 2019. Solo KYŌGEN will follow later in the year.
